Modsecai's Commissions

Please read through all polices and commission information before reaching out to me regarding commissions! By commissioning me, you are agreeing to these terms.
If you are unsure about anything, don't hesitate to contact me.

Terms of Service

- I have the full rights to my work. I have the right to display the commission in my portfolio, however I will only share the piece on social media with the commissioners permission. I will not resell/reproduce the commission elsewhere.- My artwork is strictly prohibited from being fed into any AI/data training.- My commissions are only to be used for personal use only. This means banners, profile pictures, wallpapers, etc. as personal items to be used by the commissioner.- I offer no commercial licensing options at this time, and therefore my commissions are strictly noncommercial use. This means no reselling, no turning art into NFT's, etc.
No profit should be made by others from my artwork.- If sharing/posting the commission on social media, you must credit me when doing so.- Please be kind and respectful throughout the commission process. If rude, inappropriate, aggressive, or threatening behavior occurs throughout the process, I will cancel the commission entirely and a partial refund will be issued.- Commissions may take anywhere from a week to a month or so to complete once started. I generally try to work quick, but please keep this timeframe in mind when commissioning me. I will give the commisioner a time estimate upon starting.- I have the right to reject any commission request if I do not personally feel I have the skill level required for a specific commission type OR if I feel the commission is something I'm not comfortable drawing.

Payment Policy

- All commission payment is to be paid through PayPal. All prices are in USD($) and I will request payment directly through my PayPal payment page. I can also send an invoice via PayPal if preferred. (Allows for different payment methods)- All commissions are to be paid 100% in full once the finalized sketch is agreed upon. I will not continue working on a piece until it is paid for at this stage. If a commission value exceeds $150, I am willing to work out a payment plan with a commissioner with terms that will be mutually agreed upon.- Throughout the commission, commissioners are allowed to request extras should they decide they'd like more additions to their piece. I will not add these additions however until the additional fees for them are paid in full.- Partial refunds can be made should a commissioner decide they no longer want to go through with a commission, so long as the commissioner declares this before I move into the rendering phase. I will retain 15% of the paid amount, and refund 85%.
No refunds are given once I am in the rendering phase of the piece, or any point in the commission process beyond this stage.- Commission prices are firm and none negotiable. I will always inform a commissioner how much a commission will cost prior to starting and make sure payment is firmly agreed upon before requesting payment. Please respect this and do not attempt to haggle for a lower price or negotiate it.

This section explains and includes pricing, restrictions, commission form, as well as any other bits and pieces anyone interested in a commission needs to know! The commission form itself is linked at the bottom of this page. Be sure to read the whole document so you are informed before submitting a commission form!

Restrictions

Please read through all the restrictions to make sure your commission does not fall under anything I won't do. Even if the reason is not listed, I retain the right to reject a commission for any reason.

General Rules/Information

- Every commission of mine follows a process: sketch, flat color, rendering, and any additional shading/lighting or background work. I will ask the commissioner for their approval before moving on to the next step and make any requested revisions.- Once a commissioner agrees to move past a step, no changes can made in regard to previous steps. For example, once the final sketch is agreed upon and a piece moves on to the flat color phase, no major pose changes can be made.- Infinite small changes can be made to a commission, however if I feel as though I am being run in circles (ie. excessive additions and removals) I have the right as the artist to limit the number of changes.- I do not do any physical printing/sending of my art, it is all digital. Commissioners receive a drive folder with their final photos of their piece. All final files are 300 DPI, JPG & PNG formats. Each piece comes finished with my signature. A piece can have specific dimensions if requested.- I highly encourage having reference images to share with me during the commission process. If I don't feel qualified to complete a commission due to lack of references, I may reject the commission.- My commission options are not as rigid as they may appear--everything offered is just given as a point of reference. Please keep this in mind if you decide to commission me.

Neck/Chest up - $30
Partial/Half body - $40

________________________________________________________Pricing Information & Possible Fees

- Each commissions base price includes just the drawing of the subject standalone. A simple background is an optional extra and free of charge.- Rendered backgrounds & additional scenery are not included in the commission base price, and need to be purchased in addition to the commission base price. Refer to the extras list below if any of these interest you!- Every animal based character commission includes one optional simple accessory. These include collars, bandanas, a scarves, hair flower, etc. However, if more than one accessory is desired or if the desired accessory is complex or large, commissions are subject to an accessory fees. Bridles, harnesses, saddles, detailed fabrics, etc. would fall under complex accessories.- Every human based character commission includes clothing. However, characters with multiple accessories/complex clothing may be subject to the accessory/complex design fee.- Complex designs may be subject to a complex design fee. Complex character designs take more time to draw, and therefore cost more. Elements that may fall under this category include but are not limited to: highly intricate patterns, detailed scales, wings, extra appendages, extravagant horns, etc.

Simple background - free
Partial flowers/nature - $5
Partial/basic background - $10
Full background - $20+Complex design fee - $5+
Accessory fee - $5+

Simple Background - An easy to make background, usually consisting of abstract visuals and colors that compliment the subject of the commission. Can also be a simple patch of grass or dirt underneath the subject.
Partial flowers/nature - Adds a few natural elements around the subject, such as flowers, detailed patches of grass, twigs, and other nature themed elements. Can substitute other preferred non-nature elements
Partial/basic background - A background that does not take up the entire frame, and/or is full frame but only has relatively basic background elements.
Full background - A completely rendered and filled in background. Price ranges on complexity and amount of elements within the background.
Complex design fee - A fee that's applied when a subject's design is complex enough that it requires more attention detail and therefore more time to complete. Price ranges on complexity.
Accessory fee - A fee that's applied when more than one accessory is requested, or the only accessory is complex. More accessories and extra complex accessories require more time to draw, and therefore price ranges based on amount and complexity of additional accessories. Specifics noted above under Possible Fees
